Reviews
Very nice campground. It's nice and quiet at night; I didn't hear any road noise. The grounds were well kept. The camp store was well outfitted. It's close to Buckley, so it's a good spot to stay if you're going to the engine show. It's about 15 miles from Traverse City, which is far enough away to be out of the hub bub of that town.
We came here on a family vacation and had and absolutely great time. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The campground was clean, everything was in working order and the have a nicely stocked store.
The cabins are really nice.
We will be back!
Great campground for people of all ages. Clean bathrooms, small store. Lots of play area for kids. Nice pool area. Friendly owners and employees. Full hookups with some cement patos. Short drive to Traverse City area. Will camp here again and bring grandkids. Have nice cabins to stay in, also.
We’ve stayed at a couple different KOA campgrounds and this one is one of our favorites. Everyone we’ve met there is so friendly, there’s much for the kids to do, we went to visit traverse city but ended up mostly just hanging out at the campground. The sites are close together but you feel like you still have some privacy.
We have been coming there for years and the cabins are clean and comfortable. The owners and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The campground has a nice pool, playground, and tons of activities for kids. It is always the highlight of our summer!!
Clean bathrooms and well maintained campground. We camped at the electric campsites and it is about a 5 minute walk to bathroom. They don’t have family bathrooms. They should improve their rules around weed use to make the campground more kid friendly. Some of the rustic camp sites are in the woods. No loud music allowed, which allows a peaceful breakaway. Lots of things for kids to do.
The campground is located about 20 miles from Traverse City. The western side of the campground is more shady. The swimming pool located at the entrance near the office is a bit small, but they have 2 huge jumping pillows and a large playground for children. there are also some cabins. overall is a lovely koa, especially for families, with friendly staff and a quiet atmosphere. Have fun!
Great campground! It's small, but the sites are spaced out. Employees are very friendly. I heard the cabins were nice, but I did not see them for myself. I will definitely be returning!
